Strawberry Protein Overnight Oats (Printable)

Creamy overnight oats with fresh strawberries and protein for a nourishing start to your day.

# What You Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
03 - 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
04 - 4 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (about 60 g)
06 - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
07 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
08 - Pinch of salt

→ Strawberries

09 - 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
10 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice

→ Toppings

11 - 4 tablespoons sliced almonds
12 - Extra fresh strawberries

# Directions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, protein powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir thoroughly until well combined.
02 - In a small bowl, toss diced strawberries with lemon juice to enhance flavor and prevent browning.
03 - Divide half of the oat mixture evenly among four mason jars or airtight containers.
04 - Top oat mixture with half the strawberries, then layer the remaining oat mixture followed by the remaining strawberries.
05 - Cover containers tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow oats to soften and flavors to meld.
06 - In the morning, stir gently and top with sliced almonds and fresh strawberries if desired. Serve cold.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • You literally just stir and forget—breakfast is done before you even wake up.
  • The protein powder and Greek yogurt keep you genuinely full until lunch, no mid-morning slump.
  • Strawberries and creamy oats together taste like a dessert that happens to be healthy.
  • These jar-ready portions make meal prep feel less like a chore and more like an investment in your sanity.
02 -
  • The texture changes depending on how long these sit—6 hours gives you that ideal creamy-but-still-slightly-chunky texture, while 24 hours makes everything uniformly soft. Know your preference before committing.
  • Stirring the oats thoroughly on day one prevents any dry pockets that refuse to hydrate, which I discovered after eating a spoonful of pure powder on day three.
  • If your protein powder is sweetened (which some are), reduce the honey by half or you'll end up with something closer to dessert than breakfast.
03 -
  • Make your oat mixture the night before you want to eat it, then assemble the strawberry layers in the morning for maximum berry freshness and flavor.
  • If your oats seem too thick in the morning, add a splash more milk and stir—they'll loosen up instantly without ruining the texture.
  • Use a wide-mouth mason jar instead of regular ones; it's so much easier to eat from and you can actually fit a spoon in there without losing your mind.
